Master Menu

The Master menu allows you to access and configure lists that are stored on the database. Anything modified at the master (or database) level will affect all future bids. Master list dialogs are labeled (Master) to indicate that they are database level lists. It is important to pay close attention to any modifications you make in these dialogs.

Changing an existing record at the Master level will affect all future jobs, but will never affect a job previously entered. You may delete an existing record from the Master Items List even if that record has been used in a job. However, you cannot delete a record if it is currently in use in an assembly or if it is used as part of a chain or mixture. You cannot delete an estimator that is used in any bid in the database or is the owner of any assembly.

Changes you make at the Master level are immediate and permanent. Proceed with caution when deleting from one of the Master menu lists. Changes/Deletions cannot be undone.

Contacts	Opens a dialog box where you can manage an extensive list of Customers, Suppliers, Subcontractors and other business contacts.
Contact Types	Opens a dialog box where you can manage types of contacts such as Suppliers, Contractors, etc
Items	Opens a dialog box where you can manage an extensive list of Material and Labor items to be used in bids.
Item Types	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of classifications for various Items.
Manufacturers	Opens the Material Manufacturers dialog box where you can manage a list of manufacturers you can assign to Items.
Containers	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of containers that will be used in defining an Items pricing.
Divisions/Sections	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of CSI Divisions and Sections for use in the database.
Cost Codes	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of codes you can assign to the costs of all Material and Labor Items.
Account Codes	Opens a dialog box where you can cross reference Cost Codes to Account Codes usable in your Accounting program.
Payroll Classes	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Payroll Classes you can assign to various work crews (such as Painter, Carpenter, Foreman).
Estimators	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Estimators that work with this particular database
Job Statuses	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Statuses to which you can set your jobs such as Pending, Complete or Sold.
Job Types	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of types of jobs you estimate such as: School, Apartments, High-Rise.
Condition Types	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Condition Types such as: Walls, Floors, Concrete, Electrical
Condition Assemblies	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Condition Assemblies
Equipment Assemblies	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Equipment Assemblies
Other Assemblies	Opens a dialog box where you can manage a list of Other Assemblies
