Issue

When printing from many 32-bit applications (including On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or Digital Production Control), the Windows 11 Print dialog box shows "No preview available".

You may also see that the dialog box shows "Win32 application" instead of the actual application name (depending on which build of Windows 11 you are running).

Discussion

The Windows 11 Print dialog box is a significant change from the Windows 10 dialog box, as you can see below.

New technology does not always work as expected with legacy systems.

Resolution

This is a not an issue with On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or Digital Production Control, or any other 32-bit application you may be trying to print from. This is not per-se an issue with Windows 11, either, it's just the state of things.

First, be sure you have installed all Windows Updates (see Microsoft's website for details on how to update/maintain your Windows product).

Next, there are ways to "configure" Windows 11 to use the legacy Print dialog box, these are not published by Microsoft so we cannot list them here, but a simple web search should get you the information you need.
