Issue
You install the latest version of On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, or Digital Production Control, and when you try to launch it receive System Error "The program cannot start because api-ms-win-crt-string-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer."
Discussion
The version of Windows you are running is no longer supported. Only Windows 10 and 11 are supported by Microsoft.
Resolution
You must upgrade your computer to Windows 10 or 11, please contact a qualified IT specialist.
