About Conditions

A Condition is a description of an object such as a floor, wall, door, etc. A Condition contains all of the information about a particular object including its Name, Dimensions (wall height, for example), Layer and Quantity result settings. The four styles of Conditions in On-Screen Takeoff are Linear, Area, Count and Attachment.

You create a condition for each unique object you need to quantify. For example, if you are taking off walls, you would create a condition for each Type of wall such as 8'00" 1 Hour Fire Rated, Exterior Wall, 10' Demising 2 Hr Wall, etc. Each change in height requires a separate condition. You can easily duplicate a condition and then simply modify the height of the duplicate.

The Condition List contains all conditions you have created for your bid. The Condition List is located in the Condition Window of the Image tab.

There are four ways to add a Condition to a bid:

• Create a Condition from scratch

• Duplicate an existing Condition

• Use a Condition from the Style Library

• Insert a Style Set
