Condition Types describe and group the category of Conditions in a Bid. A Condition Type typically refers to the actual object such as Doors, Partitions, Walls, etc., or some other commonality shared among several Conditions.

Condition Type is set on the Condition Detail.

You can sort, group, and filter the Condition list by Type so it is important to assign appropriate Condition Types to all Conditions.

Condition Types are shown in the Condition Details dialog box and allow you to sort and filter the Conditions Tab by Type

To create a new Condition Type,

Click Master > Condition Types - the Condition Types (Master) dialog opens (this list can also be accessed from the Condition Detail dialog by typing in a Type that does not already exist in the database).

Click New - a blank line is added.

Enter the name of the new Condition Type.

Click OK.

Note
The Conditions Tab can be Sorted, Grouped, and Filtered by Condition Type; the Labor and Payroll Tabs can be Filtered by Condition Type; Condition Assemblies are grouped by Condition Type in the Master list (next article). See Related articles for more information.

Remember, if you've entered similar Condition Types and want to get rid of one, just use the global "Find and Replace" function in the Item Types list.
