SymptomA Bid or Database is causing the application to terminate unexpectedly (crash) or stop responding. Resolutions- Try to determine the steps to replicate the crash on your computer.
- Compact and Repair the database
- If this resolves the issue, there may have been a minor issue with the database – follow the steps in the Related article to run a compact and repair on your database at least once a week.
- If this does not resolve the issue, continue to next step
- Try duplicating the Bid in the same database
- If this resolves the issue, there may have been a minor issue with the bid tables. Use the new bid and delete the original
- If this does not resolve the issue, continue to next step
- Create a new database and copy the bid into the new database
- If this resolves the issue, there may have been an issue with the database master tables. Cease using the original database and use the new database going forward. You can synchronize your new database to your existing database which brings over your Master tables.
- If this does not resolve the issue, continue to next step
- There may be something wrong with the database. Please contact Technical Support. The agent will instruct you on how to send a copy of the database to Technical Support for advanced testing. Please note, some databases are beyond repair and we may not be able to restore them to working condition, therefore, it is important to regularly backup of your database(s).
