Requirements to use Project Express:

First, verify you meet the requirements:

  • You must be running a supported version of On-Screen Takeoff/Digital Production Control on a supported version of Windows. See OST - 01.01 System Requirements and Installation Instructions for details.
  • You must be using the current version of On-Screen Takeoff, see the On-Screen Takeoff Product Information and Downloads page for latest version information.
  • You must own (and have activated) a valid license for Takeoff, Digital Production Control (DPM), or DPC-Foreman. If you do not have a license, you can register for a limited-time trial of Project Express so you can test it out, however, that trial expires after sixty days.
  • You must maintain an active Maintenance Subscription with ConstructConnect. Each time you send files via Project Express, refresh your Inbox or Outbox, or refresh the Account Information dialog, your Maintenance Subscription is checked. If your Maintenance Subscription lapses, you may continue to use Project Express for 60 days, after that however, you must renew your Maintenance Subscription to continue using Project Express. Contact our Renewals Team at 866-426-2447 to renew your Maintenance Subscription.
  • You must have an active Internet connection.
  • You must have a valid e-mail address to register for Project Express. Although projects are not sent through e-mail, Project Express uses your e-mail address to validate your identity, as your login name, and to send notifications.

Here are some common errors clients report when using Project Express:

Failed to Send

This error is caused by a slow or intermittent Internet connection or a problem with the Project Express site.

Verify your Internet connection is stable and try sending the project again.

If you are sending a Bid Package with pages, send only those pages necessary for the recipient to complete his or her work.

Maintenance Subscription is Expired

Project Express is available to clients who maintain an annual Maintenance Subscription with On Center Software. When attempting to access or refresh the Project Express Tab, the following error message may be displayed:

These are the most common reasons this may happen:

  • Your company's Maintenance Subscription for the license key activated on this computer has lapsed - make sure you are using the most current key issued by On Center Software for your product
  • There is an issue with one or more of On Center Software's licensing servers - wait a few minutes and try again

Please contact Support for assistance if you continue to experience issues with Project Express.
