Unable to Open Quick Bid Condition Details from On-Screen Takeoff Condition List - OST QB

This affects SQL database users only.

Issue

When using On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid interactively, clicking the "Change Details" option in the On-Screen Takeoff Condition context menu does not open the Quick Bid Condition Details dialog box. (This may also occur if you've set your On-Screen Takeoff options to open the Quick Bid details by default in Tools > Options).

in On-Screen Takeoff, right-click on a Condition and select 'open details' to open the Quick Bid Condition Details dialog box

Resolution

When the user "Finds" the SQL database, they must enter the Server name exactly the same in both programs, case matters.

when finding an SQL database, users must type in the server name exactly the same in on-screen takeoff and quick bid

Caution

We recommend you instruct all users to "find" databases using a standard - ALL CAPS or all lower-case.
