If On-Screen Takeoff cannot locate the image files in the paths specified in the Cover Sheet, the Missing Image Assistant assists with restoring the links. First, the Missing Image Assistant launches explaining the problem, then the user may Reestablish the links or Ignore the issue and not view the image.
If an image cannot be located or displayed, existing takeoff is usually unaffected. On-Screen Takeoff does not store the takeoff with/on the image itself - the image is simply displayed in the program and the takeoff is performed with the image as a backdrop (like a transparency page). Takeoff is stored in the database and only a REFERENCE to the image file is stored. If the underlying page was ROTATED however and is no longer available, takeoff adjust back to the 'non-rotated' orientation.
If the user chooses to Reestablish the link, a Browse for Folder dialog box opens.
This reestablishes one link at a time. See the article, Changing the Image File Path to change the path for multiple Image Files.
