Typical Takeoff Totals on the Takeoff Tab
The way Typical Takeoff displays on the Takeoff tab changes a bit depending on what Typical Takeoff is used (Areas, Groups, Pages) and how you have the Takeoff tab grouped (Zone, Page, Area, Type).
Typical Areas
Typical Areas on the Takeoff tab will be placed at the top of the tab and will have a light gray background. A single instance of each Typical Areas will be displayed at the top of the Tab if you choose Takeoff + Typical Groups/Areas Totals.
After selecting Takeoff + Typical Groups/Area Totals, highlighted in light grey are the totals for one instance of the Typical Area. To determine how many times the Typical Area is used, open up the Typical Area Dialog Box.
Additional Information: See Typical Areas under Areas and Typical Areas, Groups and Pages. |
Typical Groups
Typical Groups on the Takeoff tab will be placed at the top of the tab and will have a light gray background. While the types of views and groups can be updated by you, the Typical Group totals will always reflect the totals of the entire bid.
When not grouped, and Takeoff + Typical Group/Area totals is selected, the Typical Groups will be listed at the top. An Area column is now present, listing each Typical Group.
When the Takeoff tab view is selected to Group by Areas, the number of Typical Groups will appear in parenthesis next to the page name.
You can also choose just to see Individual Typical Group Totals which change your display to suppress the takeoff totals.
Typical Pages
On the Image tab, the Conditions List displays takeoff quantities for the Typical Page. The green banner explains this and displays how many Repeating (or Virtual Pages) there are.
The Takeoff tab displays the totals for all Typical Pages. From the previous example, note the totals on the Takeoff tab.
When the Takeoff tab is right-clicked, a context menu appears allowing you to select how you wish to have this tab sorted. In this example, we chose Grouped by Page. Now, you can see the individual Takeoff totals for each of the Repeating (or Virtual) pages.
