Why is this a big deal?

Sometimes, buildings will use different wall materials between rooms. When Takeoff Boost doesn’t accurately split the different wall types between these rooms, it is a very laborious mistake for our customers to correct. It can be so time consuming that sometimes customers would rather just toss the Boost results altogether and do it manually. While the differences in length may seem small in the examples below, it can make a big impact on customer’s estimate if they are shorting some materials and going over on others.

This update aims to fix that and ensure that walls split more accurately where rooms intersect. See below for some before and after examples from real customer plans:

Notice, the A6bb/A6aa wall was split incorrectly.	After the update, the split is at the expected position.
Again, the split between A3aa A3bb was not at the correct position.	More accurate split between Wall Types.
The split occurred in the middle of door, instead of the corner of the room.	After the update, the split occurs at the corner of the room, as expected.
