Note

Applies to On-Screen Takeoff v.3.98.14.04 and newer.

The Segment Angle Adjustment tool is only accessible to users under a current maintenance subscription. To renew your maintenance, contact your Customer Success Manager.

You've always been able to rotate a piece of linear takeoff, however, that changes the position of both ends of the object. Sometimes, what you need to do is move one endpoint to make it match up with the plan better, rather than re-drawing and overriding Snap Angle.

To adjust the angle of a takeoff object by moving one endpoint,

  • Click the the select tool is an arrow that points up and to the left button on the Takeoff Tools toolbar
  • Select the object you want to adjust
  • Click the adjustment handle at either end of the object - the cursor changes to the move cursor Move cursor
  • Drag the adjustment handle anywhere you like to resize or change the angle of the object
    • If this piece of linear takeoff "connects" to another, it is stretched or shrunk automatically to maintain the "connection"

use the Splitter tool to separate a single linear object into many
