End of Life Plan for On-Screen Takeoff 3.95 / Quick Bid 4.97 and earlier versions - DPC OST QB

Version End of Life Announcement

On Center Software by ConstructConnect is committed to providing award-winning products and services. To that end, we must occasionally take an inventory of our product versions to determine those that need to be retired (or ‘sunset’). We remain focused on current technology and advancing/improving our software, and that cannot be done if we continue to support outdated versions of our software.

To that end, effective August 1, 2023, the following versions will no longer be supported or distributed, nor will you be able activate a license for them through the software:

On-Screen Takeoff/Digital Production Control 3.95.03.02 and any version lower (3.94, 3.93, etc.)
Quick Bid 4.97.03.01 and any version lower (4.96, 4.95, etc.)

Note

To find the version of On-Screen Takeoff/Digital Production Control or Quick Bid you are using, just click Help > About.

To find what version of the software you are eligible to download/license, visit the MyAccount Customer Portal.

What can I do if the version I’m using is no longer support?

This depends on if you kept current with your Maintenance agreement with On Center Software/ConstructConnect (and what version of Windows you are running).

If your licenses are under a current Maintenance Subscription, we have versions of our products ready for you. Please contact Customer Success at 866-627-6246, Monday through Friday, 7am-6pm CST, for assistance upgrading to the latest versions. (We may need to do some back-office work before you can upgrade, so please don't wait until July 31st to call.)
If you have allowed your Maintenance Subscription to lapse, there are two ways forward:

If your Maintenance last expired after August 2020, you are eligible for the oldest supported versions of On-Screen Takeoff and likewise, if your Maintenance last expired after August 2019, you are eligible for the oldest supported version of Quick Bid.
If your Maintenance expired prior to August 2020 (OST) or August 2019 (QB) you are not eligible for a supported version of OST or QB.

Either way, you’ll need to discuss your options with Client Services at 866-627-6246.

Why does your version of Windows Matter?

Newer versions of On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid are not supported/cannot be installed on Windows 8.1 or older. See, Windows Version Compatibility for more information.

Warnings

As a reminder, we regularly update our System Requirements, so it is important to check the latest System Requirements before installing any software, (see Classic System Requirements for more information).

If you are using a version of Windows that is no longer supported, you'll need to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11 to continue using our products.

How Does This Affect You?

On August 1, you will no longer be able to download or activate the versions of On-Screen Takeoff/Digital Production Control and Quick Bid indicated above. You will also be unable to activate/reactivate these versions (it will take some time for your current activation to fail, but no more than 30 days usually).

Please don't wait, contact Customer Success as soon as possible to avoid any disruption to your ability to use the products you've come to depend on!
