When you are working with takeoff inside a Typical Group Frame, there are few things to keep in mind.

Selecting Takeoff within a Typical Group Frame

You select takeoff within a Typical Group Frame three ways:

  • You can click on a single takeoff object - that selects just that object.
  • You can hold down the <SHIFT> button and click on multiple takeoff objects, one by one, within the Frame, selecting just the takeoff objects without selecting the Frame.
  • You can click and drag to "rope" multiple objects, however, that also selects the Typical Group Frame - this may not be the action you want to perform.
  • If you want to click and drag (rope) to select multiple takeoff objects within a Typical Group Frame, temporarily move the Typical Group Frame to the side, select and copy your takeoff, and then move the Frame back. This way, the Typical Group Frame is not included with your roped selection.

Editing Takeoff Within a Frame

Remember, any changes you make to the contents of a Typical Group Frame affect every Marker you've placed (or will place...) associated with that Typical Group, not just future uses of the Typical Group.

Typical Group Markers are simply a reference back to whatever takeoff exists within the Typical Group Frame and changes made to those contents affect every Marker in this Bid.
