There are three options for pricing your takeoff project:
- The Worksheet Tab - you can enter in Material, Labor, and Subcontractor amounts on the Worksheet Tab to get a rough estimate of project costs. (Covered in the next article.)
- Microsoft Excel - you create a link to cells in an Excel spreadsheet and your Condition Result quantities are transferred to that spreadsheet (automatically). You must have a fully-licensed version of Microsoft Excel to use this pricing method, see Related Articles.
- Quick Bid - you can link On-Screen Takeoff to On Center's Professional Quick Bid Estimating software. See the Quick Bid User Guide for more information. You must have a licensed copy of Quick Bid installed to use this pricing method, see Related Articles.
You can also export the Takeoff (Summary) and Worksheet Tabs to CSV file and then import them into your estimating program, if it supports that. See Related Articles for more information on exporting data from On-Screen Takeoff.
Using the Worksheet Tab allows you to create a "rough" unit cost estimate - helpful to determine if you want to invest additional time on estimating a project.
