You may want to delete a Typical Page and all its Repeating Pages from a bid.

Or, you may want to reduce the number of Repeating Pages associated with a Typical Page, you can't simply enter a lower number in the "Repeats" field - the program wouldn't know which Repeating/Virtual Page to remove. You need to delete the Repeating/Virtual Page from the Cover Sheet Pages grid.

Deleting a Typical Page

To delete a Typical Page from a project:

  • Click the Cover Sheet button ALT TEXT from the Main toolbar - the Cover Sheet dialog opens (by default, the Pages tab displays when you open the Cover Sheet)
  • Select the Typical Page to be deleted
  • Click ALT TEXT - deletion verification message displays
  • Click Yes

The message box closes and the Typical Page and all associated Repeating Pages are deleted from the Bid

Warning

Deleting a Typical Page deletes the Typical Page, all takeoff contained on the Typical Page, and all Repeating Pages! Deleting a Page from the Cover Sheet cannot be undone - if you are unsure - click "No" in the confirmation box.

Once you delete a Typical Page, everything associated with it is gone for good.

Deleting Repeating (Virtual) Pages

To remove a Repeating Page from the project:

  • Open the Cover Sheet (by default, the Pages tab displays when you open the Cover Sheet)
  • Select the Repeating Page (or pages) in the Repeating Page list (under the Typical Page) you want to remove
  • Click the Delete button ALT TEXT - the deletion notification (above) prompts you to confirm deleting this page (or pages)
  • Click Yes to delete the selected Repeating Page

The Repeating Page is deleted, the number of Repeats is reduced accordingly, and the Repeating Page list is updated.

The remaining Repeating Pages do not renumber themselves. If a Repeating Page in the middle of the list is deleted, the remaining pages simply move up (for example, if we delete Floor 3 from Repeating Pages 1 - 4, Floors 2, 4, and 5 remain).

Note
Deleting Repeating Pages changes the quantities (and pricing) in the Bid although this does not affect the takeoff objects on the Typical Page. So, if you later decide you want to add those repeating pages back in, just update the "Repeats" value in the Pages grid to add additional Repeating Pages.
