Conditions can be copied/pasted, duplicated, and deleted. You can also save Conditions as 'templates' (Styles) for future use in other Bids, that's covered in next article.
Copying and Pasting Conditions
You can copy a single Condition or group of Conditions from one Bid to another Bid, to an Alternate, or to a Change Order (or even to the same Bid although Duplicating (next article) is easier).
If you are using On-Screen
Takeoff and Quick Bid interactively, Quick Bid must be open and licensed when copying/pasting Conditions (within a Bid or from the Base Bid to an
Alternate or
Change Order). The Bid must also be in "Interactive" not "Manual" mode or the Quick Bid Conditions will not carry over their details.
In the Condition window,
Right-click on the Condition to copy to a new Bid, Alternate, or Change Order (to select multiple Conditions at one time, press <Ctrl> or <Shift> and then click the Conditions you want to copy and then right-click).
Select Copy.
(Alternately, you can select all the Conditions you want to copy and use the keyboard shortcut <Ctrl> + C or click the copy button on the main toolbar.)
Navigate to the Bid (Alternate, Change Order) to which you are copying.
Open the Image Tab and right-click in the new Bid's Condition window.
Select Paste.
(Alternately, you can use the keyboard shortcut <Ctrl> + V or click on the main toolbar.)
The copied Conditions are added to the new Bid, Change Order, or Alternate.
This copies over the Conditions
only. See Related Articles, if you want to copy the
Condition and the
takeoff on the current Page to a new Bid,
Alternate, or
Change Order.
