Quick Bid - 07.08 Condition Detail - Controls Toolbar - QB

The Condition Detail Controls, the buttons at the bottom of the Condition Detail screen, are used to add, edit, move, and delete Items within the Grid and provide other Condition navigation/management functions.

Next to the "move down" arrow button, you see the full Description of the currently selected line Item in the grid. This text shows the position and total number of Items in the condition detail (1 of 9).

Button or ControlKeyboard ShortcutDescription, What it is for, What it does...
Modify Item button opens the bid-level copy of the item so you can make changes to it<F3>Opens the Bid item Detail for the highlighted Item (all Item Details can be edited, like material and labor pricing or calculation method or sizing). These changes only affect the Bid level Item although, if the user has sufficient rights, they may be prompted to update the Master Item.
the blue plus sign adds a new row below the selected row in the grid<Insert>Inserts a new row for another Item in the Item Detail Grid.
the red X deletes the selected row or rows<Delete>Deletes a highlighted Item(s) from the Item Detail Grid.
the upward facing blue triangle moves a row up in the gridMoves a highlighted Item up one row in the Item Detail Grid.
the downward facing blue triangle moves a row down in the gridMoves a highlighted item down one row in the Item Detail Grid.
the copy button looks like two sheets of paper one on top of another and is used to copy all the select items in the Condition for pasting elsewhere<Ctrl> + <C>Copy selected Item(s).
the paste button looks like a clipboard with one piece of paper on it and is used to paste previously copied items into the grid<Ctrl> + <V>Paste selected Item(s).
the Assembly button opens the Master Condition Assemblies listOpens the Condition Assembly List dialog which contains a library of Condition Assemblies (templates). From this dialog, an Assembly can be created or inserted into a Condition. See the articles that follow for more information on Condition Assemblies.
Labor Adjust opens the Labor Adjust dialog box where you can override calculated production rates for one or more Labor Cost Codes in the gridOpens the Labor Adjust dialog where changes to Condition level labor production can be made for one or many Labor Cost Codes.
The Printer button opens the Print Condition dialog box where you configure the Condition Details Report<Ctrl> + <P>See Related articles for more information on printing the Condition Detail Report.
The Previous Button navigates to the previous Condition and is disabled if this is the first Condition in the Bid<Ctrl> + <Page Down>Views the previous Condition's Detail.
The Next Button navigates to the next Condition and is disabled if this is the last Condition in the Bid<Ctrl> + <Page Up>Views the next Condition's Detail.
the Verified checkbox is an indicator that a senior estimator has reviewed and approved the pricing of a ConditionChecking this box places a check mark next to the condition in the Conditions Tab indicating that the estimator has reviewed this Condition and all information accurate. Useful when training an apprentice and the Lead Estimator needs to double-check his or her work.
Close button closes the Condition Detail dialog box<Ctrl> + <Enter>Closes the Condition Detail dialog.
