While the Cover Sheet is still open and before you send this bid to the field, you must set three options. These settings are based on the Databases settings found in Tools > Options > New Bid settings of the current database. See Related articles for more information on setting up your database and options.

checkbox Hours/Days (how many hours are considered a work-day for one employee)

checkbox Start week Start

checkbox Ignore Bid Areas on Timecard Entries

Note
Ignoring Bid Areas on Timecard Entries makes entering timecards easier, but it prevents you from breaking the Budget Tab out by Bid Area. If you want to be able to break down your Budget Tab by Bid Area, your foremen need to apply time to the Bid Area where the work was performed (where the takeoff resides).

Bid Cover Sheet

Warning
Once this bid is sent to the field (exported to DPC Bid Package), the three options on the right (Ignore Bid Areas..., Hours/Day, and Start week on...) cannot be changed, even if the bid is unlocked.

Now that you've set these Bid options, your project is ready to be sent to the Foremen (or the Project Manager can start percenting/timekeeping).

Please review the next few articles for instructions on sending your job to the field.
