Sometimes, Architects include details in different scales on the same Sheet, On-Screen Takeoff supports one Scale per sheet (this way, you do not have to set the scale on every piece of takeoff you draw). This articles explains how you can use these multi-scaled plans correctly.

Note
This works for different scales on the same page, but On-Screen Takeoff cannot work with plans that have different vertical vs. horizontal scales, you will need to get rescaled plans from the Architect.

In the example below, the Yellow area is at a scale of ¾” = 1’-0” and Green is ½” = 1’-0” (two scales on the same image page).

multiple scales on a single drawing

To use both detail sets it is necessary to add the page to your project twice (duplicate the page), perform the following steps:

Open the Cover Sheet and duplicate the image page by clicking the Duplicate Page button located at the bottom left of the Cover Sheet

Rename the original to indicate the first scale and the duplicate the second (repeat for more than two scales on the same page)

Change the Scale for each page - this can be done on the Cover Sheet or the Image Tab

Duplicate a page on the Cover Sheet to accommodate 2 different scales

Now, on the Image Tab, you will be able to pick the appropriate page based on the scale using the Page Drop Down.
