To access bid-level Supervision costs, open the Markups Detail from the Markups Tab, and click on the Supervision Clean button on the left side of the dialog box. This is where Bid-level Supervision costs are configured.
When calculating Indirect Expenses with a Labor result, it is necessary to setup each Wage Type separately. Settings for one Wage Type (Union, for example) would not be applied to labor expenses calculated under a different Wage Type (Open, for example).
When "Calculation Method" is set to "Labor Cost" or "Labor Hours", a list of all Payroll Classes and their associated hours or costs are listed in the grid. These fields are explained in the list below. These calculations are based on the values in Default Indirect Expenses but can be changed after the project starts bidding.
This list does not reflect the Duration calculation method which is calculated differently - this is detailed toward the bottom of the article.

Calculates how much it costs to supervise the job based on the cost (wages) for each Payroll Class used in the job.
Calculates the Supervisor Hours required based on the hours of labor for each Payroll Class used in the job.
It is not necessary to apply Indirect Expenses to every Payroll Class - only those that require Supervision.
Duration allows the estimator to evaluate supervision costs based upon selected Payroll Classes and estimated crew size. In the example below, Supervision is being charged against the "General Laborer (Union)" Payroll Class.
There are 23.328~ (rounded to 23.33 in the in the Total line) DAYS of labor which require Supervision. The Payroll Class designated as Supervisor is "Superintendent" with a Base Wage of $35.00 (not including burdens, is $280.00 based on 8 hours per day). To calculate the total Supervision, Quick Bid multiplies the duration (23.328~ days) by the BASE daily wage (280.00) to arrive at a total of about $6531.96 for Supervision, for General Laborer (Union) in Section 09250 (we say "about" because the exact days are calculated out farther than 3 decimals but only 3 are shown).
