There are times when you've taken off a page, then realize you used the wrong Condition, perhaps you took off a 10' page using an 8' Condition or you may have copied takeoff from one page to a page showing a different wall height.  Instead of taking off the room again, just re-assign the takeoff to a new Condition with the correct height.

Reassigning Takeoff to an Existing Condition

To reassign an object to a different, existing Condition:

• Select the object or objects (not the Condition)
• In the Conditions List, right-click on the Condition to which the takeoff objects are to be reassigned (obviously, you cannot reassign a Linear takeoff object to an Area Condition or an Area takeoff object to a Count Condition...)

• Click Reassign Objects
• Cick Yes in the Confirmation dialog that appears to confirm that the object(s) be reassigned

To reassign all takeoff for a Condition on a page from one Condition to another

• Right-click on the first Condition, this opens the Context Menu
• Click on Select Objects - all takeoff objects on the current page for the particular Condition are selected (highlighted yellow)
• Right-click on the Condition to which the objects are to be assigned and choose Reassign Objects...

Sometimes, all the takeoff on a page for Condition A needs to be reassigned to a new Condition but that Condition is not yet created.  On-Screen Takeoff makes it easy to duplicate an existing Condition (A) (or multiple Conditions) and reassign all takeoff on the current page to the newly created duplicate.  This is very helpful when copying takeoff from a page representing an 8' height for example, to a 10' floor.  There is no need to build Conditions before reassigning takeoff - let On-Screen Takeoff do it for you.

Right-click on any Condition in the Condition List for which there is takeoff on the current page and select Duplicate and Reassign Takeoff.

• Select multiple Conditions by holding down the CTRL or SHIFT and clicking each Condition.  Each Condition is duplicated and its corresponding takeoff (on the CURRENT PAGE) reassigned to the new Condition.

A duplicate of the original Condition is created and assigned a new Condition Number and color and then all takeoff on the current page is reassigned to the new Condition.

Now, simply change the Condition Properties of the duplicate Condition as needed (height, width, color, pattern, etc.).

• This only affects the takeoff on the current page.  Follow the steps for "Reassigning Takeoff to an Existing Condition" to reassign takeoff on subsequent pages.
