11.06.01 copying and pasting existing conditions

A single Condition or group of Conditions may be copied from one Bid to another Bid, Alternate, or Change Order (or even to the same Bid although Duplicating is easier).

• For interactive Bids (Bids that are connected to an estimating program), the Bid must be in Interactive Mode when copying Conditions from the base Bid to an Alternate or Change Order; if it is not, the Conditions created in the estimating program may not carry over their details.

In the Condition window,

• Right-click on the Condition to copy to a new Bid, Alternate, or Change Order (to select multiple Conditions at one time, press <Ctrl> or <Shift> and then click the Conditions you want to copy and then right-click)
• Select Copy

• Navigate to the Bid (Alternate, Change Order) to which you are copying
• Open the Image Tab and right-click in the new Bid's Condition window
• Select Paste
• The copied Conditions are added to the new Bid, Change Order, or Alternate

• This ONLY copies over the Conditions - if you need to copy the Condition and page-related TAKEOFF to a new Bid, Alternate, or Change Order, see Copying, Pasting, and Moving Takeoff for more information.  On-Screen Takeoff makes it a snap to copy TAKEOFF just easily as Conditions!

Delete Confirmation

Because deleting a Condition (or Conditions) is not 'undoable' AND it deletes every piece of takeoff drawn with that Condition, you are prompted to confirm the action.

• This is the ONLY verification you will receive - please think about this before clicking "Yes" or "Yes to All"!

• This confirmation cannot be suppressed - this is by design to ensure you never accidentally delete a Condition and cost yourself hours or days of work!
