Applying a Drop/Run to Linear Takeoff

A Drop/Run accounts for additional material needed when taking off plumbing fixtures and/or electrical items. The drop/run accounts for the vertical run necessary to reach the intended outlet, sink, fixture.

NOTE: You must enter a drop run value BEFORE performing takeoff if you want this value added to your linear segments. Entering a value AFTER performing takeoff does not update existing takeoff objects.

Applying a Manual Drop/Run Value to a Linear Object

  1. To apply a Drop/Run setting manually, open the Conditions Properties dialog and select the Advanced tab
  2. Place a check in the box next to Drop/Run in the Measurement field, but do not put a value in the Add Length field

  3. When taking off objects with the Drop/Run box checked and no value set, a small box will appear next to every segment of that Condition
  4. You can then select a particular box and input any value for each segment
