You can import a Bid Package, a Takeoff Project file, or iSqft assemblies. Importing a bid is one of the easiest ways to share information between two users.
A Bid Package can include image files while a Takeoff file only contains the bid information (takeoff, conditions) without pages.
Bid Packages can be imported from the File menu or opened from an e-mail.
From the File Menu
Select Import. The Import dialog appears.
Select Bid
Package File (*.osp), and click . The Import
Bid Package dialog appears.
Find your file, click it once to select it and click .
The file will be imported.
You will receive a notification if you are about to overwrite an existing Bid. You will be given the option to continue or cancel. If this bid already exists in this database, you can import it into another database.
From an E-mail
Open the e-mail message.
Double click on the *.osp file attachment. On-Screen Takeoff opens and the import process begins automatically.
To import an existing On-Screen Takeoff
Bid, from the File
menu, click Import. Select
the Takeoff file (*.ost, *osx, *.coe, *txt) radio
button and click . The Open
dialog appears.
Locate the file you want to import, click on it once to select it and click .
On the Cover Sheet,
type the name of your bid in the Project Name
field, and click . Your new Bid
will appear in the Bids list.
From the File menu, select Import. The Import dialog appears.
Select iSqFt
Assemblies, and click . The Import
iSqFt Assemblies dialog appears.
Browse to the file you want to import,
click on it once to select it and click .
