Deleting a Bid and Restoring a Deleted Bid
To Delete a Bid
When you delete a bid in On-Screen Takeoff it is not immediately removed from the database - it is moved to the Deleted Bids folder (similar to the Recycle Bin in Windows).
-
Right-click on the project in Bids tab and choose Delete (or select the bid and click the Delete button or press the delete key on your keyboard)
-
You will notice a Deleted Bids folder in your bids list with the deleted bid directly beneath the folder name
-
To empty the deleted bids folder, right-click on the Deleted Bids folder and select Empty Deleted Bids Folder
-
Click Yes in the dialog that appears to complete the action
To Restore a Deleted Bid
If you have deleted a bid, you may be able to restore it from the Deleted Bids folder. To restore a bid from the Deleted Bids folder, expand the folder by clicking the small plus sign to the left of Deleted Bids (your exact screen may differ slightly depending on the application you are using).
Locate the bid you would like to restore from the Deleted Bids folder and right-click it, then select Restore Bid.
The bid will be moved back to its original location.
CAUTION: If you delete an Alternate or a Change Order (without deleting the entire bid), it is immediate and permanently deleted – you cannot restore Alternates or Change Orders separate from the Base Bid. |
