Setting Up the Digital Takeoff Table™

  1. Verify your video card driver is up to date

     

    NOTE: If you have questions on how to verify this, please contact your IT Support department.

     

  2. With the computer turned off, connect the monitor cable and USB cable into the correct ports on your computer - then plug in the power cable for the Digital Takeoff Table

  3. Once connected, power on the computer and the Digital Takeoff Table - the blue power light should be lit on the Digital Takeoff Table

     

    NOTE: If you touch the Pen Tool to the screen, at this point, a blue light should light up directly to the left of the blue power light - If it does not then troubleshoot the hardware/cable connections.

     

  4. Right-click the Desktop and select Properties (or Personalize for Windows Vista®) to open the Display Properties window - If you are using the Digital Takeoff Table as your only monitor than you can skip to step 6

     

     

  5. Click the Settings tab and modify these settings to adjusts your monitors for optimal use

     

    NOTE: If you have questions on how to adjust these settings, please contact your IT Support department.

     

  6. Double-click the DTT_Setup file that was downloaded

     

     

    NOTE: If the Wacom driver file was installed, prior to the Integration File being received, you will need to uninstall the Wacom driver before running the Digital Takeoff Table Integration file.

     

  7. A WinZip Self-Extractor window appears, click OK to unzip and run the installation file

     

     

  8. In the Digital Takeoff Table installer, click Install Digital Takeoff Table Configuration File

     

     

  9. Select which version of the configuration file you wish to install - Right-Handed or Left-Handed

     

     

  10. You will be prompted to Accept the Wacom Tablet - License Agreement

     

     

  11. When the installation is complete you will receive a message stating The pen tablet was successfully installed

     

     

  12. Select OK at the prompt

  13. Open the configuration file by clicking Start > Wacom Tablet > Wacom Tablet Properties

  14. In the Wacom Tablet Properties click Grip Pen, select the Calibrate tab, verify that Cintiq 21UX is selected as the monitor, and then click the Calibrate button - use the Grip Pen to select the points at the top left and bottom right of the screen

     

     

  15. Once calibration is complete click the Pen tab to review the settings and adjust them as needed

     

     

  16. After reviewing the Grip Pen settings, click the Functions tab - If the right handed version is used the tab should look like the following image

     

     

  17. Once the settings have been verified, close the Wacom Tablet Properties and open On-Screen Takeoff®

  18. Using your mouse, click the Digitizer button and select Use Digital Takeoff Table™ - this will activate the Grip Pen for use with On-Screen Takeoff
