When using the Image Legend it will open in the upper left corner of the image being displayed. The Image Legend can be moved, broken apart, or the text formatted to make it easier to use.

Ungrouping the Image Legend

By default, the Legend operates as a single entity. To break the Image Legend into multiple groups right-click the Image Legend with the Selection tool and select Group Image Legend to uncheck it.

Once ungrouped you can select a single item or click and drag a box around multiple items to move them

Using the Selection tool, drag the marked items (dotted lines) to a different location

The selected items can be moved anywhere on the displayed image to provide emphasis to certain areas

Moving the Image Legend

To move the Image Legend from it's default location, perform the following steps:

Once the Image Legend is active, click on the Selection tool

Click to select the Image Legend (look for the dotted line around the Legend) and drag and drop it where you need

Moving the legend when grouped (Default) is the same as moving any other object on the Image view window. Simply click on it and drag/drop it to the new location.

If you have chosen to ungroup the Image Legend, in order to move the entire Legend, you can select everything and drag it by either:

• Right click on the Image view and click on Select All Image Legend Objects from the context menu or

Select All Image Legend Objects

Clicking the Select tool, , from the Main toolbar and Tools menu and Rope the Legend.

Once you have selected the Legend , drag it to the new desired location

• To move each Legend object separately, select each object using the Select tool, .

• To select multiple objects, hold down the Shift key and click each Legend object

Formatting the Legend

Select one or more items in the Legend - the Text toolbar appears, allowing you to format the text.

By increasing or decreasing the size of the font, the Image Legend will either get larger or smaller

Resetting the Legend

Reset the Legend by either selecting View>Reset Image Legend, or right-clicking and selecting Reset Image Legend from the context menu. This restores the Image Legend to the current defaults for font, position and grouping.
